Admissions to Nursery for 2, 3 and 4 year olds

If you are interested in joining our Nursery please contact our admin staff in the school office directly on 01392 285240. Our Nursery is part of an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) where 2,3,4 and 5 year olds are taught and cared for together. Children are eligible to join our EYFS Nursery the term after their third birthday. From the term after their third birthday until they start school, your child is entitled to up to 570 hours of free early learning and childcare each year, known as the Early Years Entitlement. Follow this link to find out more Early Years Entitlement.

We’d like to encourage you to make an appointment to visit us at your convenience. Please call the school office (01392 280 240) to arrange this.

We also have limited spaces for funded and non funded two year olds. Children are eligible the term after their second birthday.

Golden Tickets: Free childcare for 2-year-olds

A Golden Ticket allows you to access free childcare for your 2-year-old, if eligible. This could be a place in a nursery, preschool or with a childminder.

Only those providers that are judged as good or outstanding by Ofsted will be funded to admit 2-year-olds. Occasionally, if there are not enough good or outstanding places in an area, a provider with a ‘requires improvement’ outcome will be funded. You can find out where there are approved providers that take funded 2-year-olds here.

Devon County Council receive information from the Department for Work and Pensions about eligible families and they send those families a Golden Ticket.
