Year 3/4 Clay work

The children have had a great time using clay to create Aztec pots and idols. They have learnt to manipulate the clay with their hands and fingers and join using the technique of scoring.

Today we sketched victorian artefacts, we looked very carefully and tried to include as much detail as possible.

Year 3/4 has been brushing up on their observation skills and putting their skills to the test with portraiture. Each child is drawing a self portrait that they can display on the cover of their Learning Journal. They have really enjoyed the exercise and the results are fantastic!

We have been looking at different printing techniques and will be working as a group to produce a large seascape picture.
