Oliver Trip

As you know, Year 5 were invited to West Exe on Tuesday, to watch their dress rehearsal of Oliver. It was a great opportunity for our year 5’s to explore West Exe and see the kinds of opportunities they might get to be apart of. They all really enjoyed the amazing performance, all West Exe pupils did extremely well! They should be proud.

We are also very excited to announce that two of our year 5’s won prizes in the Art competition, across several schools in Exeter.

Reuben, was awarded 2 place for his amazing photographs he had taken himself.

Freddie, won the whole competition with a very creative piece of art, modelled on the Pyramids swimming pool in Exeter.

A HUGE well done to both of them.

EYFS – Spring time invitation to come into EYFS!

Spring is finally arriving here in Exeter after all of THAT snow!!
Although we all enjoyed the magic of the snow days, our little friends the birds didn’t! They’ve been left with a shortage of food. EYFS are going to celebrate Spring by making bird feeders and all of our lovely EYFS families are invited.

Come and make a bird feeder with your child on Wednesday 28th March at 2:15pm.
We look forward to seeing you!

Tuesday 20/3/18

School will be open as normal on Tuesday. Thank you to everybody for their understanding for our closure today.

Severe Weather Update

Severe Weather Update

18/3/18, 4pm

Due to the heavy snowfall today, which is likely to freeze tonight and the snow forecast around Exeter in the morning, we regrettably will be closing the school on Monday as the roads and paths around the school are unlikely to be safe.

This is never an easy decision to make but I have tried to make it as early as possible to allow parents to make alternative arrangements as necessary.

EYFS Potion Writing

We’ve had a great few days in EYFS and continued to learn our story ‘Dear Zoo’. This week we have innovated the story, Daisy class have now called their story ‘Dear Superhero’ and the Sunflower class’ new story is ‘Dear Space man’ ask your child to tell you their class version. Despite the freezing weather we have still enjoyed our outdoor provision. We have really loved making potions in the woods using lots of natural resources and then using our brilliant phonic knowledge to list the ingredients.

P.s. Please remember Thursday 1st March is World Book Day and your child can dress up as their favourite story character!
